  • Experience the best of the Netherlands on this 4-day journey, combining Amsterdam's rich art and history with the scenic charm of the Dutch countryside where you will discover more traditional ways of life.

NOTE: Due to implemented restrictions on tour coaches in the city center, there will be a short walk (0.4 miles) from your hotel to the bus staging area for your tours each day. This program does include moderate walking at the various stops.

    Day 1

After flying into Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, you will be met outside the customs and baggage claim area and transferred to your hotel in the city center by private vehicle.

Hotel check-in time is at 3:00pm.

Although we are not able to guarantee that rooms will be available before this time, luggage storage will be available at Reception so that you may begin exploring the city at your leisure or enjoy the facilities of the hotel. Should you have an early arriving flight, you may wish to book an extra night to ensure a room will be ready upon your arrival.

Depending on your arrival time, the afternoon and evening will be spent at leisure and all meals on this day are on your own.

Nearby sights include the Royal Palace on Dam Square and Anne Frank’s House. Amsterdam’s nightlife also offers diverse options for dining and entertainment.

Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two while solo travelers will transfer by private sedan. Vans hold a maximum of 4 pieces or large luggage and 2 carry on pieces per person and sedans hold a maximum of 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. Transfers are with driver only.

    Day 2

Your day starts with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a short coach transfer to the world-renowned Rijksmuseum which showcases Dutch art and history, featuring masterpieces like Rembrandt's The Night Watch. A private guide will lead you through the highlights of the museum during a 1,5-hour guided visit.

Afterwards, you will enjoy a short stroll to the canal boat pontoon, where a private saloon boat awaits you for a nearly two-hour cruise along Amsterdam’s canals.

After disembarking the boat, take a guided walk through the city center. This is followed by an afternoon at leisure. Perhaps linger over lunch, browse the shops, or explore other museums such as the Rembrandt house, Van Gogh Museum, the Hermitage or the Jewish Historical Museum.

    Day 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a scenic coach drive into the Green Heart of Holland. In contrast to the urban atmosphere in Amsterdam, you can expect a more natural environment.

Enjoy a tranquil canal cruise through the Green Heart of Holland, during which you will get to taste some local Dutch delicacies and stop at a charming local windmill.

Continue to the historic town of Gouda, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at your leisure before a guided walk through the picturesque streets. Get a taste of some Gouda cheeses at one of the many cheese stores. Delight in a hands-on Stroopwafel workshop to learn how to make this sweet snack and savor coffee or tea at a local bakery.

Return to your hotel enriched by the day’s unique experiences.

    Day 4

After breakfast and check out, depart for The Zaanse Schans, where you will step back in time. Zaanse Schans is a picturesque Dutch village famous for its iconic windmills, historic wooden houses, and artisan workshops. Discover traditional crafts like wooden clog making and cheese production, explore working windmills, and enjoy the charming views of the surrounding countryside.

Your guide will give a tour of the highlights and afterwards there is some free time to get some last Dutch souvenirs at one of the many local shops.

Head back to the port to get ready for your cruise.

Land Program Details Step by Step

•The order of sites visited may vary to avoid congestion. Program times are approximate, given here for general reference purposes and subject to change.

•Itineraries with the up-to-date details will be issued when you are emailed your final cruise documents 21 days prior to sailing. You will then receive a final itinerary from our ground operator with a Welcome Letter upon arrival or at your hotel. Please review the letter and your final itinerary carefully for further amendments.

•The hotels used for your land program will be the hotels listed in this document unless you have been advised otherwise in advance of the land program start date.

•Guests failing to arrive on Day 1 of a scheduled land program will be considered a no-show and their hotel space released.

    Extra Nights

•If you book extra nights through the cruise line, you will be met as per the flight details provided and transferred to your hotel. Check-in is 3:00pm (subject to change). Meals other than breakfast, as well as activities, are on your own until day 2 of the program.

•If you have an early-arriving flight, you may wish to book an extra night as your room will not be ready for occupation until approximately 3:00pm.

•If you book extra nights on your own, transfers are not included.

Be aware that the representative may be assisting others and may not be in sight when you first exit Customs and the luggage claim area.

•Look for someone holding a sign with the cruise line logo and possibly your name. If in doubt, ask the airport staff to direct you to the meeting area for transfers or to page our representative.

•Meet and Greet and transfers are arranged for guests arriving on Day 1 of a land program or for extra nights booked through the cruise line and are arranged based on the flight details received by guests at least 14 days before sailing. DAY 1

Upon arrival at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), guests will be greeted by a local representative who will facilitate transfer to the hotel. Please note that transfer duration is typically 30–40 minutes, though this may vary according to arrival time and traffic conditions.

Hotel check-in is available from 3:00pm. For guests arriving prior to this time, luggage storage is provided at the hotel. You are welcome to enjoy the hotel's amenities or explore the immediate vicinity at your leisure.

Your first evening in Germany will be spent at The Florentin, a contemporary and elegant hotel located in the center of Frankfurt. With close proximity to luxury shopping, museums, and the Main river promenade, the location is well-suited for independent exploration before your tour officially commences.

The afternoon is yours to spend as you prefer and all meals are on your own today. Whether you choose to relax after your journey, browse nearby retail areas, or enjoy refreshments at a local café, you are free to settle-in comfortably.

A hospitality desk will be staffed at the hotel from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, providing an opportunity to meet your guide, obtain answers to any inquiries, and receive support regarding local arrangements or details of your program.

    DAY 2

Following breakfast at your hotel, check out and meet your guide. Today will be a day filled with breathtaking scenery, cultural treasures, and culinary highlights as you make your way toward the Mosel Valley.

Your journey begins with a drive to the charming village of Assmannshausen, where you will board a riverboat for a short but unforgettable Rhine River cruise, offering panoramic views of steep vineyards, medieval castles, and riverside villages.

Upon arrival in Rüdesheim, enjoy a scenic cable car ride up to the Niederwald Monument, a dramatic viewpoint overlooking the Rhine. After taking in the landscape and learning about the site’s historical significance, ride the cable car back down and continue to a beautiful hilltop estate for lunch at the renowned Burg Schwarzenstein, where local ingredients and seasonal cuisine are served with award-winning wines.

In the afternoon, visit the majestic Eberbach Monastery, a former Cistercian abbey famed for its wine-making history and striking Romanesque architecture — also a filming location for The Name of the Rose. Afterward, continue your drive along the scenic route to the heart of the Mosel wine region.

Upon arrival at the 5-star Schloss Lieser, a restored neo-Renaissance castle overlooking the Mosel River, check in and enjoy the atmosphere of this remarkable property. With original artwork, curated interiors, and vineyard views, the hotel offers a perfect blend of history and boutique luxury.

Dinner is on your own this evening — you may choose to dine at the hotel’s gourmet restaurant or take a short walk to a nearby local tavern.

    DAY 3

Following breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and set off for a day that blends ancient history with refined regional flavor.

Begin with a short drive to Trier, Germany’s oldest city, founded by the Romans over 2,000 years ago. During a comprehensive walking tour, discover the city’s most iconic sites — including the UNESCO-listed Porta Nigra, the Imperial Baths, and the Roman Amphitheater — while your guide brings history to life with rich storytelling and context.

After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore Trier’s charming Old Town or visit a local café. Lunch will follow at a carefully selected restaurant, such as Gastraum by Villa Hügel, offering seasonal regional cuisine with modern flair and views over the city.

In the afternoon, transfer to a nearby prestigious Mosel winery, where you’ll be welcomed for a private wine tour and tasting. Learn about the unique terroir of the Mosel Valley and sample three signature Rieslings — crisp, elegant, and expressive of the region’s steep-slope vineyards.

After the tasting, return to your hotel, just a short walk from the winery. The rest of the evening is at leisure. You may relax at the hotel’s spa, stroll through the gardens, or enjoy a quiet dinner on your own.

    DAY 4

Following breakfast at the hotel, settle any incidentals and check out before meeting your guide for a full-day journey through the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg — a country where medieval charm meets modern elegance.

Begin with a scenic drive across the border into the capital, Luxembourg City, where your local guide will lead a walking tour through the UNESCO-listed Old Town, exploring highlights such as the Grand Ducal Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the dramatic Bock Casemates, a fortress carved into the cliffs.

After some free time to explore the vibrant center at your own pace, enjoy lunch at the stylish Brasserie du Cercle, offering refined Luxembourgish cuisine with a view over Place d’Armes.

In the afternoon, continue to the picturesque countryside to visit the medieval Castle of Beaufort, a romantic ruin surrounded by forest. From there, travel on to the fairytale-like village of Vianden, nestled in the hills and famed for its own storybook castle and winding cobblestone streets.

Your final cultural stop of the day will be in Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg, known for its baroque abbey and peaceful riverside setting. Afterward, drive to your hotel in Luxembourg City and check in for the night.

You will stay at Le Royal Hotel Luxembourg, located in the city center. The evening is at your leisure and dinner is on own.

    DAY 5

Following breakfast at the hotel, settle any incidentals and check out before meeting your guide for the next leg of the journey.

Today you’ll travel north into Germany’s vibrant cultural capital on the Rhine — Cologne. Upon arrival, begin with a guided visit to the city’s most iconic landmark, the awe-inspiring Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a short walk through the historic center and some free time to browse local shops or enjoy a riverside view, sit down for lunch at a carefully chosen local restaurant featuring regional specialties.

In the afternoon, visit the charming and interactive Chocolate Museum, where you’ll trace the history of cocoa and see how fine chocolate is made — with tastings, of course.

Later, check in to your 5-star hotel: the majestic Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg, a baroque palace-turned-luxury hotel perched above the Rhine with panoramic views.

In the early evening, enjoy a short transfer to Brauwelt Köln, Cologne’s oldest brewery complex. Here, experience a true taste of local life with a private brewery tour, Kölsch beer tasting, and a traditional 3-course dinner in a historic setting — the perfect cultural close to your journey through Western Europe.

    DAY 6

Following breakfast at the hotel, settle any incidentals and check out before departing for Amsterdam.

Enjoy a comfortable drive through the landscapes of western Germany and the Netherlands, arriving in Amsterdam around midday.

En route, pause for a relaxing refreshment break — an opportunity to enjoy a drink and light snack before the final leg of the journey.

Upon arrival in Amsterdam, transfer directly to the cruise port for embarkation.

We are confident this journey will offer moments of discovery, delight, and lasting memories across the cultural and historic heart of Western Europe.

  • Become immersed in the joys of Lisbon by visiting the capital city’s most well-known attractions and neighborhoods, watching a traditional Fado performance and exploring palaces in the nearby foothills.

Note: This program does include some walking at times over uneven ground or steps. It is not recommended for guests who require sole use of a wheelchair, walker or motorized scooter.

    DAY 1

Following disembarkation from the ship in Lisbon you will pass through some of Portugal’s most inspiring countryside on the way to Mafra. Here, at the revered Palace of Mafra, which was constructed of local limestone and marble in the 18th Century, you will behold priceless art and period furnishings that were characteristic of the royal lifestyle. At one time, the palace also served as a Franciscan monastery.

After visiting the extraordinary palace, you will continue even deeper into the countryside to the winery “Adega Mãe”: a temple built to honour wine. During the visit, you will know the production process of both white and red wines and be able to take a peek into the greatness of the storage and fermentation vats, the lab and go through the Time Room, where wines rest and aromas mix with the scent of the French oak barrels. At the end of the tour enjoy a tasting on the cellar’s noble room, with wide windows that provide an unforgettable view of the mountains of Socorro and Archeira.

Following lunch at the winery, you will drive to your hotel along a spectacularly scenic coastal route. After check in, the remainder of the day and dinner will be on your own to enjoy as you please.

Your river and garden view room in the hotel’s garden wing will have a balcony that presents views of Lisbon’s downtown, the Tagus River and the hotel pool and garden.

    DAY 2

After departing from the hotel, you will enjoy a scenic Tuk Tuk drive (motorized rickshaw with 3 wheels) towards the Belem Quarter, where you can admire the Monument of Discoveries, the Tower of Belém and Jeronimos Monastery. Continuing on to downtown Lisbon, you will pass lovely Liberdade Avenue, the elegant shopping area of Chiado and the heart of the commercial area, Praça do Comércio and Alfama. Stop to taste the traditional pastry - pastéis de nata.

Note: each tuk tuk has a local driver and seats for four guests. This mode of transport enables guests to see some of the narrow streets in the city’s most typical neighborhoods.

Alfama takes its name from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning fountains or baths. It contains many important historical attractions and traditional Fado restaurants along its narrow and winding streets. The medieval Castle of São Jorge overlooks the Alfama and offers one of the best views of the city.

Next, pass by Lisbon Cathedral, also known as the Sé which looks like a medieval fortress.

By midday, you will return to the hotel to either relax or grab some lunch (on own). Enjoy the amenities of your luxurious resort, which was once the private residence of the Count of Valencas. Lapa Palace Hotel is conveniently located within an easy drive of Lisbon’s attractions.

The entertainment for the evening will be at the “Café Luso”, here, you will enjoy a traditional Portuguese dinner and watch a Fado show. Fado is Portuguese folk music that is melancholy by nature and usually played on guitars and mandolins. The lyrics tend to be poetic and involve themes such as love and sadness.

Following this authentic cultural experience, you will return to the hotel for the evening.

    DAY 3

After departing from the hotel, you will drive to Sintra, a beautiful town nestled in the forested foothills of the Sintra mountains. Your experience here begins with free time to wander about the atmospheric streets, enjoy the sweeping views and thoroughly relax.

Not far away, you will find Pena Palace, a landmark that was built in the 19th century to be a royal summer home. Inside and out, it looks like an eccentric mix of different castle styles and features. Now hailed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Portugal’s Seven Wonders, the flamboyant palace exemplifies 19th-century Romantic architecture, inside and out.

Following your tour of Pena Palace, return to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

    DAY 4

Following breakfast and check-out you will be transferred to the Lisbon International Airport for your flight home. Transfers will be set up based on the flight details provided. DAY 1 – September 30, 2026

Disembark the ship in Honfleur, meet your guide and begin your journey with a drive to Rouen where you will discover its architecture from Roman times. The alignment of its two main streets – Rue du Gros Horloge and Rue des Carmes, still reflects the layout of the early city.

Follow your guide through the historical part of the city. See the Old Marketplace where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431 and the modern Joan of Arc Church completed in 1979. Other sites you will find during your walking tour are the Gros Horloge Street with its belfry and a sculpted archway on which rests a Renaissance lodge decorated with clock faces that still indicate the time of the day, the phases of the moon and the days of the week. Discover the Law Courts, the seat of Normandy’s Parliament and the cathedral, made famous by Claude Monet’s paintings of its façade.

Note: There will be some cobbled streets, uneven ground and / or steps encountered while walking through Rouen. Walking time is approximately one hour.

Next, drive to Paris for an unforgettable experience which will begin with a Seine dinner cruise.

After some time to freshen up at your hotel, meet you guide in the lobby for a transfer to the river where you will embark on a glass-covered sightseeing riverboat for a scenic cruise on the River Seine.

Enjoy views of this monumental city from the water while enjoying a delightful dinner. See the famous Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and much more before returning to your hotel for the night.

For those with a keen eye on the fashion scene, this program takes place during Paris Fashion Week! For those looking to spot some of the famous fashion trend setters, the night is yours to discover the hot spots. Perhaps the Hospitality Desk team or the hotel’s Concierge will have a few suggestions on where to start.

Note: Smart attire required for the dinner cruise (no shorts, flip-flops or sportswear). The dinner cruise is accessible by fifteen steps, a ramp may be available, and the restrooms on the boat will be on the lower level only accessible by stairs. An accessible restroom is located on the pier. Guests with dietary restrictions must advise in advance.

    DAY 2 – October 1, 2026

After breakfast and check out, meet your guide and drive to the Louvre Museum and marvel at this former royal palace. Today, it’s perhaps the greatest repository of fine art in the world.

As you meander about the galleries on a self-guided exploration, you can expect to see da Vinci’s enigmatic Mona Lisa, the famed statue of Aphrodite – better known as Venus de Milo – and the Winged Victory statue that was found in a sanctuary where people prayed for protection from the dangers of the sea. The collection is so all-encompassing that no matter what your artistic interests, you can find works that beautifully represent it. Pieces from the Italian Renaissance, by Dutch and Flemish masters and even Mesopotamian art are all on display, as well as Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities.

Note: Someone will be available on site to assist and orient you accordingly and additionally; a mobile application is available at no extra cost for guests wishing to access commentary on some of the artworks inside the museum.

After this visit, appreciate some free time to browse in the museum shop before departing for lunch at the Eiffel Tower.
