  • Experience life in the beautiful state of Rajasthan in a multitude of fascinating ways and come away with a remarkably thorough understanding of its rural communities, rich history and royal families.

特記:Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC), CPAP breathing machines or scooters should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour. The program is manageable for guests with mobility restrictions as long as they are travelling with someone to assist. Guests must be able to get on and off the tour coaches with little to no assistance. There will be various steps to negotiate at the hotels and sites visited (2-30 steps) and wheelchair ramps are not always available although most sites have them.

    DAY 1 - Thursday, 2027年4月15日

This afternoon, disembark in Cochin, complete immigration and customs formalities, board your vehicle and transfer to the airport for a flight to Mumbai.

On arrival, walk across to your nearby hotel where you will have dinner and an overnight.

    DAY 2 - Friday, 2027年4月16日

After breakfast, walk back to the airport for a flight to Jodhpur. Refreshments will be served aloft.

The desert-land of Rajasthan is wedged between two major river systems of the Indian subcontinent. Peopled by a most remarkable warrior race of valiant fighters and passionate builders who ruled from their numerous hill fortresses, this geographical region nurtured a most extraordinary culture – rich in legends of romance and chivalry, sacrifice and heroic deeds.

On arrival, take a pleasant drive of around two hours into the rural countryside to the principality of Nimaj. Stay at Raas Chhatra Sagar in custom-designed luxury tents surrounded by lush green fields of wheat, mustard, cotton, chilies, and vast grazing pastures. There’s a hundred-year-old reservoir strategically located over the Chhatra Sagar Lake.

Situated atop a dam, the estate offers incredible views of the Aravalli range, quite magical at sunrise and sunset. Migratory and local birds abound in and around the dam. The Camp offers numerous activities, including a nature walk for bird spotting or a village and farm visit; either of which you may choose to do.

After lunch and some leisure time, enjoy a farm visit followed by sundowners and dinner. The food here is exceptional – local, organic home produce is used as much as possible, with meals made using age-old family recipes, which have received some of the highest praise in Rajasthan.

    DAY 3 - Saturday, 2027年4月17日

At sunrise, tea, coffee and cookies are served in your individual tents. Walks at dawn are exhilarating and encouraged, with a profusion of birdlife, especially around the lake.

Soon after breakfast, proceed on a village excursion and experience the day-to-day life of rural India. Spend time exploring Nimaj’s quaint homes, the local school and farms that cultivate cotton, aniseed, cumin, henna, chillies, vegetables and a range of pulses.

Later this morning, drive back to Jodhpur, India’s royal 'blue city', which boasts one of the country's most spectacular fortress and palace complexes. It was from here that the popular baggy and tight horse-riding trousers `jodhpurs' took their name.

Stay at RAAS located in the old trade route quarter of the famous Walled City below the fort. It is based around an 18th century Haveli (Mansion) and echoes of Rajput architecture can be found throughout the building, from its intricately carved stone panels to its antique shrines to arches surviving from the stables.

When lit up in the evening the views of the fort are simply breath-taking.

After lunch, your afternoon activity begins with a visit to Jaswant Thada, the graceful cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II (1873 – 95) and those of the other Maharajas of Jodhpur who died in this century.

The local bazaar around the Clock Tower, is a jumble of old and new generational textile and spice merchant precincts and the fun is in spotting stunning detailing, finding tiny courtyards, hidden temples, mosques and untouched mansions in the middle of the buzz. Lunch is at the Raas Boutique Resort located in heart of the old quarter.

Later, drive up to this Blue City’s awe inspiring Mehrangarh Fort, looming 400 feet above the skyline, rated by Time Magazine as Asia’s best fortress. Construction commenced in 1459, and today the fortification sprawls along the top of a steep escarpment with walls up to 36 meters high and 21 meters wide towering above the plains.

There’s a wonderful display of palanquins and the well-preserved Hall of Public Audience and Sheesh Mahal that trace the legendry opulence of the Jodhpur family. The ‘impregnable’ fort remained the royal residence until the Umaid Bhawan was completed in 1943. Its museum section boasts of a well-documented collection of their private art and miniature paintings.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 4 - Sunday, 2027年4月18日

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before visiting the step-well “Toorji Ka Jhalra” which was built in Jodhpur in 1740 CE by the Maharaja’s consort in line with the age-old tradition of royal women commissioning waterworks. Today, the two 250-year-old stepwell is restored, and stands as a testament to Jodhpur’s past glory.?

On the return, an option is to further explore the colorful bazaars.

Later, transfer to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. A box lunch will be served at Jodhpur airport.

On arrival into Mumbai, transfer to the pier and re-board the ship.

  • Flight-seeing over the Himalayas and around Mount Everest, visiting World Heritage sites, exploring the wonders of Bhutan and following a Buddhist pilgrimage route are but a few of the experiences on this extraordinary adventure.

    DAY 1 – Tuesday 2027年4月13日

Disembark the ship in Male, complete immigration and customs formalities and then transfer to the airport for a flight to Delhi. Lunch will be arranged at the Male airport. Your tour host will meet you at the airport in Male.

Upon arrival in Delhi, complete customs and immigration formalities, collect your luggage and then transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 2 – Wednesday, 2027年4月14日

Early this morning, a continental breakfast will be served through room service.

Check out and transfer to the airport for a flight to Kathmandu.

Home to eight of the world’s 10 tallest peaks, the tiny kingdom of Nepal is ringed by the Himalayas. It is a land of contrasts, harboring a wealth of Buddhist and Hindu art and architecture. Nepal’s colorful capital city Kathmandu reflects 2,000 years of peaceful co-existence and exudes a unique blend of Hinduism and Buddhism, which is distinctly Nepalese in character.

Upon arrival, assistance is provided with visa issuance and baggage collection.

Transfer to your hotel for breakfast and to freshen up.

Later, drive to the outskirts of the city and visit the World Heritage city of Bhadgaon, also known as Bhaktapur. Founded in the 9th century, Bhaktapur, also known as the City of Devotees, is revered for its medieval art and architecture. As you meander around Durbar Square, you will see the 55 Window Palace and Nyatapola Temple, considered to be the finest example of Pagoda-style architecture.

Return to your hotel to check-in. Described as a “living, breathing museum, displaying Nepal’s best craftsmanship from the 13th century,” the hotel rooms and public areas reflect medieval architectural traditions. Every brick is handmade, every piece of wood original and centuries old.

Enjoy lunch (on own) and the afternoon at your leisure.

In the evening, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a World Heritage site situated near your hotel. Pashupatinath is one of the holiest Hindu temples and a major pilgrimage place dedicated to the god Shiva. Situated amidst a natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, this temple built in pagoda style has a gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors may view from the east bank, as only Hindus are permitted to enter.

Dinner is at Dwarika’s Nepali fine dining Krishnarpan Restaurant which specializes in Newari cuisine. The interiors and experience symbolize traditional banquets favored by Nepali Kings and royalty in honor of visiting dignitaries.

    DAY 3 – Thursday, 2027年4月15日

Early in the morning, you will transfer to the airport for a flight-seeing excursion, soaring over glacier-clad, cloud-shrouded peaks and other Himalayan landscapes around Mount Everest. Afterwards, you will return to the hotel for breakfast. (flightseeing is weather dependent).

Following breakfast, you will visit Patan, one of three royal cities in the valley. Commissioned by India’s great emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century, this World Heritage Site within four stupas is known as the City of Fine Arts.

The temples around the main square are impressive as is the Patan Museum, which is housed within a picturesque palace setting. In an international campaign by UNESCO for safeguarding monuments in Kathmandu Valley, the Austrian government joined hands with Nepal to restore and preserve Patan.

Newari architectural style blossomed in the form of temples, palaces, residences and squares between the 12th and 18th centuries, representing a timelessness in Nepalese architecture and its definitive characteristics, often guided by religious and socio-cultural norms.

You will see Patan’s Living Goddess, who typically acknowledges greetings of devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Known as kumaris, Nepal’s living goddesses live in seclusion and rarely speak in public.

After a private audience with the Goddess, you will stop for lunch at ‘The Lawn’ and then return to your hotel for some time at leisure.

In the early evening, you will visit the great Stupa at Boudhnath, one of the largest of its kind in the world. Constructed in the 14th century, the stupa is built on an octagonal base, inset with prayer wheels. Boudhnath is also a center of the Tibetan community in Nepal, where you will visit a monastery.

Before returning to your hotel, enjoy a cup of coffee or cocktails at one of the cafes surrounding Boudhanath.

    DAY 4 – Friday, 2027年4月16日

Early breakfast served in the Courtyard before transferring to the airport for a flight to Paro.

As recently as 1961 all entry into Bhutan was still on horseback. Druk-yul, the land of the thunder dragon is only just emerging from the mists of its self-imposed isolation. Also known as “The last Shangri -La”, this is an exotic land of high mountains and lush valleys, snow clad peaks with clear running springs, a pristine ecology and an incredible wealth of wildlife.

A most striking feature of Bhutan is its architecture. The style and color which characterize every building and house in the kingdom is a distinct source of aesthetic pleasure. The Dzongs themselves – imposing 17th century structures built on a grand scale without drawing and without a single nail, are outstanding examples of the best in Bhutanese architecture. Patterns of rich colors adorn every wall, beam, pillar and door in traditional splendor.

Nestled deep in the eastern Himalayas between India and Tibet, the simple pleasure that this country offers gives a sense of kinship with the people and their love for the land. Essentially a rural country with 90 per cent of the people engaged in agriculture or raising livestock, Bhutan is predominantly Buddhist, practicing the Tantric form of Mahayana Buddhism.

The flight to Paro is spectacular in itself as it passes the entire Himalayan Range. Landing in Paro valley is a perfect entry into this other world, with its transparent purity of the air and absorbing serenity.

Visas will be processed at immigration and following customs, meet with your local Bhutanese guide who will be with you through your stay in Bhutan.

From the airport, proceed on an hour’s drive via the picturesque countryside to the capital Thimphu, situated in a large valley, traversed by the Wangchu River and overshadowed by high peaks.

En route, encounter Thimphu’s highlights beginning at Memorial Chorten, with its golden spires shining in the sun, its tinkling bells and an endless procession of elderly pilgrims circling around it. Erected by the royal grandmother Ashi Phuntsho Chagrin in memory of her son, it contains a fine collection of Buddhist statues and is a center of Tantric Buddhism in all its complexity.

Take a walk along Thimphu’s `high street’ with its little shops of all description. There’s always a colorful gathering passing, from ubiquitous monk bodies to Bhutanese businessmen to nomadic farmers that come to trade supplies.

Arrive at the Pemako Hotel for lunch and use of the facilities.

Continue to the Trashichhodzong, the beautiful medieval fortress and summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. The king’s Throne Room and government offices are also located within.

Continue to the Buddha Dordenma Statue of Shakyamuni measuring 169 feet, made from bronze and gilded in gold. Located at the highest point, it offers great views of Thimphu.

Drive back to Paro where you will check-in to the Zhiwa Ling Heritage Hotel. Set around ten acres with views that defy description, this hotel combines the sensibilities of a fine Bhutanese Guest House with traditional architecture, exampled in elaborate hand carved wooden cornices and masterful stonework.

Here you will enjoy dinner and an overnight.

    DAY 5 – Saturday, 4月17日,2027

    Option 1

Soon after breakfast, take a pilgrimage hike up to the Tigers Nest Monastery, one of the most revered pilgrimage spots in the Buddhist world, perched precariously on a sheer rock face 3,000 feet above the valley floor. The initial ascent is along a mule track that passes through pine forests colorfully festooned with prayer flags. After visiting the monastery, you will enjoy a hearty lunch at a restaurant with views of the monastery across the ravine.

注意:As there are inclines and steps to reach Tiger’s Nest, this option is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties.

Return to Paro town where you can head back to your hotel or explore Paro with your guide.

    または

    Option 2

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and then later in the morning, explore the highlights in and around Paro, beginning with a visit to Kyichu Lakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom dating back to the 7th century. The lhakhang complex is composed of two temples, the first temple built by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century. H.M. Ashi Kesang, the Queen Mother of Bhutan, built the second temple in same original pattern much later.

Onward, drive to Paro and walk down its main street. Take the opportunity to interact with local Bhutanese and visit their interesting small shops that provide basic necessities and then return to your hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, take in some highlights beginning with a visit to a typical Bhutanese farmhouse, for an insight into their unique lifestyle and cultural practices, where little has changed over the years.

Later, you will gain a different glimpse into Bhutanese life at the Rinpung Dzong, “the Fortress of the Heap of Jewels”, a Buddhist monastery and fortress known for its stunning architecture. The central tower and galleries are amongst the most beautiful in Bhutan with its superb woodwork and classical paintings of Buddhist cosmology representing the universe as seen by two different philosophic streams. The bridge you cross on the way out was typically removed during war time to protect the fortress.

    For all guests:

This evening, enjoy a cocktail lecture presented by Venerable Mynak R. Tulku Rinpoche, Reincarnate, of the Lama of Mynak Rikhud Monastery, the leading Sakya Monastery in Tibet.

A former Director of the National Library and Archives, Mynak has represented Bhutan at many conferences and seminars such as the Intl Council of Museums and the Intl Federation of Library Associations. Author of many books and publications, amongst them; The Sacred Dance Drama of Bhutan, published by Asia Society New York, Arts of Bhutan published by Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Religion & Rituals published in Tokyo.

Dinner and an overnight in Paro follows.

    DAY 6 – Sunday, 2027年4月18日

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Kathmandu. After completing the arrival formalities, exit from the terminal and meet with your local guide for a short drive to Dwarika’s to use the facilities and have a light breakfast.

Later, drive to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square in the heart of the city, also known as the Hanuman Dhoka Palace square, after the Hindu monkey god Hanuman, who acts as a protector via a huge stone impression next to the main entrance. Kathmandu valley has three Durbar Squares, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This ancient seat of Nepalese royalty displays spectacular architecture, reflecting the skill of the Newari artists over several centuries. There’s a great variety of temples dedicated to different Hindu gods and goddess, mainly constructed between the 15th and 18th century.

Return to the airport, complete transit formalities and board a flight to Mumbai where after going through Customs and Immigration, you will transfer to the port and re-board the ship.

It is best to layer your clothes, especially when you are walking or trekking. Mornings are cool but the sharp sun-shine will make you hot as you walk through the hills and mountains. Wearing layers and carrying a fleece, or a wind and rain proof jack¬et will ensure you are prepared for all kinds of weather.

Comfortable shoes are a must. You should bring sunglasses, sunblock, swimsuit, a hat, and insect repellent. All of these can be purchased in Kathmandu, in the Thamel area, if you forget anything, so don’t panic or over-pack!

Bhutan has a fairly formal dress code for both Bhutanese and visitors. A shirt with a collar, preferably long sleeves, and long trousers are required to enter a temple or monastery. For women, a skirt or trousers are fine. Remember to dress in layers as temperatures vary a lot during the day, especially in spring and autumn. Bring slip-on shoes, as you’ll need to take them off at every temple or monastery.

It became an important junction on the Old Silk Trading Route, bringing with it a presence of different peoples; Yarkandis, Turkomans, Kashmiris, Tibetans and Iranians. These days it is the second largest town in India’s northern State of Punjab.

Arriving in Amritsar, collect your luggage and transfer to your centrally located hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Dinner and overnight.

    DAY 2 - 2027年4月16日

After breakfast, depart for a visit to the Golden Temple.

The name Golden Temple comes from the gold-coloured lining of the building from its copper cupolas down to the marble walls. The temple, always celebrated for its riches, has been plundered several times over the centuries. Despite the splendour, an atmosphere of deep religiousness envelops the place.

Called Darbar Sahib which means Court of the Lord, the temple best exemplifies Indo-Moslem art. Begun in 1574, it stands in the centre of an enormous pool circled by steps and wings of buildings. Delicate inlay work of ivory and mirror and elegantly moulded stucco come together to create an extravagant and opulent interior.

An essential part of the temple is the ‘Langar’ or public kitchen, where free food is prepared and served to at least fifty thousand worshippers every day; an expression of the Sikh belief that “nothing is more important than Seva or service in the realisation of brotherhood.

Mounds of flour are kneaded by muscular young men, while a group of women roll the dough into balls, flattened and tossed into a giant griddle, almost ten feet in diameter to make rotis or bread which then get transported in conveyor belts. All the food and fuel in the Langar comes from offerings that are donated by pilgrims and wealthy benefactors. Each devotee contributes his or her share of the work. The Sikh religion has always emphasized the importance of community service, and within the temple precincts there is an atmosphere of collective harmony.

After this enlightening visit, return to your hotel for lunch.

The afternoon is at leisure with options for spa treatments at the hotel (additional cost). However, you can also decide with your guide to explore the marketplace.

After an early dinner, revisit the Golden Temple to witness the daily ‘Night Ritual” when the `Holy Book’ is reverently closed and put to bed after final evening prayers. It is carried in a silver palanquin to an adjacent building known as Akal Takht, seat of the ‘Sikh’ religious order. The floors of the temple are then washed with milk and water before its doors are shut. At dawn, the Holy Book is carried back to the Golden Temple.

Return to your hotel where the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

    DAY 3 - 2027年4月17日

A continental breakfast is served before transferring to the airport for a flight to Delhi. Light refreshments will be served during the flight.

On arrival, proceed on a scenic drive to Agra via the new Yamuna Expressway. Sit back, relax and take in the vistas of India’s vast rural farming countryside along the way. A rest stop will be made along the way and a packed breakfast will be served during the drive.

Agra, the city of Taj Mahal was one of the grand cities of South Asia. With the arrival of the Mughals in 1526 led by Babur, Agra entered a completely new era during the reign of emperors Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. Akbar made it a great center for learning, art, commerce and culture. Its cosmopolitan bazaars and its strategic location on the river Jamuna, was altogether a worthier setting for the focus of an empire.

Arriving in Agra, check in and enjoy lunch and some time at leisure at your hotel.

This evening, visit the Taj Mahal - the ivory gate which all dreams pass. A lacy white grandeur, perhaps the most perfect architectural monument accomplished. Amazingly graceful from any angle, it is the close-up detail which is really astounding. At dusk the monument appears to change its hue, tinted by the glow of the setting sun.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 4 - 2027年4月18日

Coffee, tea, juices and bread rolls served in the lobby prior to departing for the Taj Mahal at sunrise, as the early rays of the sun cast upon the pearl-white tomb.

    Morning options :

•See the World Heritage Agra Fort, credited to Emperor Akbar, India’s great visionary. His sons and theirs added to this imposing structure situated by the banks of the Yamuna River. The astonishing palaces, mosques and audience halls contained within its massive walls of red sandstone became once more a monumental mission of the Mughal Empire embellished by the artistic fusion of Islamic and Hindu traditions.

•Visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah in the old city, the first Mughal structure pioneering the extensive use

of `pietra dura’, the inlay work of marble, so characteristic of the Taj Mahal. This mausoleum is small and squat when compared to the Taj, but the more human scale has its own attraction, and the skillfully patterned surface of the tomb is exquisite.

Prior to dinner enjoy a short cultural show featuring the classical dance form of Kathak. This royal courtroom dance arose from the fusion of Hindu and Muslim cultures during the Mughal era. It is characterized by rhythmic footwork, spectacular spins, mime and gestures that are a dramatic representation of themes from Persian poetry synthesized with Hindu mythology.

  • Explore two icons – the Sikh’s sacred Golden Temple and the legendary Taj Mahal – during the day and evening, when the experiences will be vastly different. A choice of optional adventures adds intrigue.

Only the base of the Taj Mahal mausoleum is accessible to wheelchairs.

    DAY 1 - 2027年4月15日

Disembark the ship in Cochin, complete immigration and customs formalities, meet your guide and transfer to the airport for a flight to Amritsar via Delhi. A boxed lunch will be served at the Cochin airport and light refreshments will be served during the flight.

Amritsar, which means “Pool of the Nectar of Immortality” (named after the sacred pool in the Golden Temple) was founded in 1577 on a site donated by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar.

Return to your hotel for breakfast which is followed by the morning and afternoon at leisure, or you may opt to participate in one of the below included options:

Return to the hotel for lunch.

    Afternoon options:

•Visit the Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah in the old city as described above

•There are options to browse shops such as Kohinoor, jewelers to the mughal court, featured in National Geographic. Old emerald necklaces, enamel jewelry and embroidery form part of their private collection. The Marble Inlay factories steeped in this decorative art culture are also a specialty of Agra.

•At the hotel, Agra’s leading astrologer will be available for consultation. Appointments for an analysis of your personal horoscope can be made at the Regent Hospitality desk.

After dinner the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

    DAY 5 - 2027年4月19日

After an early breakfast, drive back to Delhi for a flight to Mumbai. A rest stop will be made along the way. Light

refreshments will be served on the bus and lunch will be served on the flight.

Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer to the pier and re-board the ship.
