Visit some of the most iconic attractions in Copenhagen, including both the newest and original Carlsberg breweries. During the behind-the-scenes tour of the Home of Carlsberg, you will browse an exhibition that shows how the beer has evolved since first being brewed in 1847 and the modern processes that helped Carlsberg grow into one of the world’s leading brands of beer. After a tasting, you will see the original brewery site, including its symbolic 12-point Star Gate, Winding Chimney adorned with Egyptian lotus flowers and cavernous cellars. Amalienborg is another quintessential landmark, and you will enjoy an insider’s look at this official residence of the royal family. You will also stroll about the 17th-century Nyhavn district, where author Hans Christian Andersen spent much of his life. It is a perfect introduction to a photo stop at Copenhagen’s most famous attraction – the Little Mermaid statue that was inspired by Andersen’s famous fairytale.
