You will learn about the life of Hans Christian Andersen while passing his former residence in the 17th-century Nyhavn district and while admiring the famed Little Mermaid statue that was inspired by Andersen’s famous fairytale. Other historical sights include the former royal residence Christiansborg Palace – now home to the Danish Parliament and Supreme Court of Denmark – and the Church of Holmen, the oldest Renaissance building in Copenhagen.
