Combine a visit to a colorful market, a stop at an olive oil farm and a cooking class for a comprehensive primer on Mallorca’s extraordinary gastronomic heritage. After meeting your Chef Instructor in The Culinary Center, you’ll drive to the bustling Olivar Market, where a riot of seafood, cheese, fresh-cut flowers and seasonal fruits and vegetables awaits. Drive into the rugged countryside and reach Treuer, a family-owned farm that grows some of Mallorca’s best olives. Following a tour of the groves, you’ll be treated to a tasting of several extra virgin olive oils.
Back aboard ship, rejoin your group for an approximately 60-minute cooking class focused on Spanish cuisine, using products and olive oil foraged at the market and farm earlier in the day. Sample local wines as an appetizing conclusion to your epicurean tour.
