Explore Dubrovnik’s medieval Old Town by following a step-free, curb-free route that allows you to view the attractions in the most comfortable way possible. You will enter through the ancient Pile Gate and proceed along the main street, commonly known as the Stradun. As you navigate through the wonderfully atmospheric labyrinth of narrow alleys and vibrant squares, you can expect to see the polygonal Fountain of Onofrio, the compact Saint Savior Church and the Old Pharmacy, which was founded in 1317. It has the distinction of being Europe’s oldest still-operating pharmacy and lends insight into what life was like in late medieval times. Although some of the buildings in Old Town were damaged during a 17th-century earthquake and again during the Croatian conflict in the 1990s, they have been restored to their original splendor. The towering city walls are largely intact, which contributes to Old Town being a UNESCO World Heritage site.
