Savor a wine tasting and an elaborate meal of traditional French cuisine at Château de Cérons, a late 17th-century property that overlooks the Garonne River. Owned by the Perromat family since 1958, the estate produces Cérons wines, one of the oldest but least-known appellations in the Bordeaux region. Xavier or Caroline Perromat will likely give you a personal tour of the estate while describing the three wines produced there – a red Graves blend, a dry white Graves blend and a sweet white Cérons, made almost entirely from Sémillon grapes. A sampling of wines will reveal the unique quality of the terroir, which the microclimate along the Ciron River greatly influences. Over the years, the winery has reduced its water consumption, carbon footprint and energy use, and in 2024 the vineyards were certified organic. Following the tasting, you will settle in for a multi-course dinner on the parklike grounds or inside the château, depending on the weather.
