Cruise the glassy waterways that run through Stockholm at night, when the capital city is illuminated and wonderfully radiant. You can expect to cruise past compact Skeppsholmen island, the National Museum on the Blasieholmen peninsula and landmarks such as the 600-room Royal Palace in the Old Town of Gamla stan. The prominent Stomatol sign has the distinction of being the country’s oldest animated sign; at night its lightbulbs create the illusion of toothpaste being squeezed out of the tube. If water levels permit, you will also cruise through the Djurgården canal that skirts an island that was once the royal family’s hunting grounds.
