Stroll the bustling Grote Markt square, anchored by the 13th-century Belfry Tower with its signature 48-bell carillon. See a Town Hall more opulent than many palaces. Admire the flamboyant façade of the Chapel of the Holy Blood, a building steeped in religious legend and spectacular Renaissance details. Then take to Bruges’ tree-lined canals as you relax on a 30-minute cruise by small boat – plying a delightful network of waterways and enjoying views of the city you can’t get any other way. Later, you’ll take some free time for self-directed exploring or shopping for chocolate and lace before the short coach ride back to your ship.
