Savor a tasting of organic wines at a farm that operates in an environmentally friendly manner that is completely sustainable. A delightful drive through the gorgeous Tuscan countryside will bring you to Trebotti, a family-owned farm and winery that follows natural agricultural practices. It is among the first farms in Italy to measure and certify its carbon footprint with the goal of achieving zero climate-altering emissions. To that end, Trebotti uses renewable energy, minimally tills the soil, employs closed-cycle composting and recycles its wine-making materials. Instead of cutting the grass with a gas-powered tractor, the farm uses an organic lawnmower—Jane, the donkey. This circular economy eliminates waste and doesn’t negatively affect the environment. Following an enlightening tour of the farm, you will sample a selection of wine. Some of them may be free of sulfites, others might be made entirely with native grapes, while still others may be sparkling.
