Art & Architecture Shore Excursion in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Driving through Halifax, you’ll discover its architecture and historic landmarks. Along the way, we’ll take you by St. Mary's Basilica and see its graceful spire that rises 128 feet above the roof.

Onward to the renowned 19th-century Old Town Clock, a gift from Prince Edward, which sits perched high on Citadel Hill commanding an impressive view of Halifax Harbor. Then it’s off to see the star-shaped Halifax Citadel and King's College, Canada's oldest university, before traveling past the exclusive homes of the South End; one of the country's most elite residential areas.

This excursion concludes with a visit to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia where you’ll experience a feast for the eyes. The fine Italianate exterior façade dates back to 1864; inside you’ll find the province's impressive collection of regional, national and international art.

If you wish to spend more time at the Art Gallery and not return with the group, you may arrange and pay for your own transportation back to the pier.
