Local restaurant and shop owners welcome you with samples of their most popular offerings and the history of their business after a short walk to the heart of Bar Harbor. As you meander over the course of one mile, you’ll become enlightened on how Bar Harbor’s cuisine has evolved, yet kept true to its roots.

Along the way you’ll taste the wild blueberry, Maine’s official berry, in signature dishes and treats such as pies, popcorn and beer. You’ll also learn about Maine’s thriving lobster industry, how they’re caught and how their numbers are sustained during this epicurean experience.

The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not recommended for those with walking difficulties. Layered clothing (weather can be unpredictable), an umbrella, a sun cap, sunglasses, and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. This tour operates rain or shine unless there is a snowstorm.
