Cuzco and Machu Picchu Land Program in Cuzco

特記:This is an active program taking place at high altitudes—we strongly recommend consulting with your physician prior to signing up.

Day 1 begins with a city tour of Cusco, starting with Sacsayhuaman Fortress—constructed without mortar like many other Inca structures. These enormous stones (some weighing 200 tons) fit so tightly that not even a thin blade of grass can slide between them.

You’ll then travel to splendid Baroque-style Cusco Cathedral, built in the mid-1500s on the foundations of an Inca palace before continuing to the sacred site of Koricancha. Here, you’ll take in the lovely Dominican Convent of Santo Domingo that was built on the foundations of the Temple of the Sun, the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. After a full day of exploring, you’ll enjoy dinner on your own.

注意:J.W. Marriott’s rooms have an oxygen enriched system to help you acclimate to the altitude. This upgrade service has been included in this package.

After a delicious breakfast on Day 2, you’ll board the Vistadome Train and watch panoramic views of lush landscape pass by until arriving in Aguas Calientes. Then it’s off to the world renowned ruins of Machu Picchu to explore this famous “Lost City of the Incas.”Constructed as a royal retreat for the Inca emperor Pachacuti in the 1400s, Machu Picchu was abandoned less than 100 years later and only rediscovered many years later by Hiram Bingham. Even today, scholars are still striving to uncover clues as to its mysteries.

Dinner and the remainder of the evening will be on your own.

On Day 3 you’ll fly back to Lima and enjoy the rest of this leisurely day and night on your own.

Before checking out on Day 4, you’ll enjoy yet another delicious breakfast.
