Roman Alexandria Shore Excursion in Alexadria, Egypt
Your adventure begins at the Catacombs of Kom El Shuquafa, which represent the largest Roman cemetery in Alexandria and are home to more than 300 remains. Comprised of three levels cut 90 feet deep into existing rock, the catacombs are accessed by a series of descending steps.
Continuing on, you’ll visit Pompey's Pillar, an 82-foot red Aswan granite column constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletain.
Your tour concludes at the Roman Theater where you’ll have time to explore its fascinating galleries, sections of mosaic flooring and marble seating for up to 800 spectators.
