ウシュアイア(アルゼンチン)
Here at the bottom of the world, snow-capped mountains and the waters of the Beagle Channel Sea merge to create a hub of adventure. Considered by many to be the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego and just a three-hour flight from Buenos Aires.
Prepare yourself for extremes—during the summer the sun rises at 5AM and sets at 10PM; during the winter it rises at 10AM and sets at 5PM. Weather varies greatly, but even during the summer, the low temps hover in the low to mid-teens.
Before leaving Usuaia for an adventure, you’ll be dazzled with casinos, five-star hotels and unforgettable dining. Hiking, kayaking, crab fishing and visiting penguins are just of the few options available. You’ll also have access to an interesting museum, plus a variety of shops selling everything from souvenirs to duty-free luxury items.
