Waiheke Island Wineries Shore Excursions in Auckland, New Zealand

Your excursion commences with a 15-minute leisurely walk to the ferry that will take you on a scenic trip to Waiheke Island. During the 45-minute crossing, picturesque views of several idyllic, volcanically formed islands abound.

After just one look at Waiheke’s pristine beaches, dense forests and fertile farmland, you’ll understand why it’s New Zealand’s most populous island. Your visit begins with tea at a café on the gorgeous Onetangi Beach, site of an annual horse race that began more than 100 years ago.

Continuing on, you’ll arrive at Stonyridge, a winery that only produces Bordeaux-style reds. During the tasting, you’ll sample the flagship Larose, a blend of at least five different varieties, or perhaps an inky-black Luna Negra with a lush berry nose, which is made solely from Malbec grapes.

Onward to your second tasting at nearby Batch Winery, which only produces small-batch boutique white wines.

ご注意:This tour includes approximately 90 minutes of easy to moderate walking/standing, including sandy paths and steps to negotiate. Driving on the island can be bumpy at times.
