紀元前150年からポリネシア人が住みついている仏領ポリネシアの至宝ヌクヒバは、ジャック・ロンドン、ロバート・ルイス・スティーブンソン、ハーマン・メルヴィル、ポール・ゴーギャンを含む西洋からの訪問者たちをとりこにしてきました。マルキーズ諸島最大の島であり、1,130メートル近い山もある火山島です。そのゴツゴツした山肌は突如断崖となって広大な海に垂直に沈んでいます。メルヴィルはこの土地を「筆舌に尽くしがたい美を有する国」と呼びました。森の奥深くに隠れた滝や川、石像「ティキ」を探しに行きませんか。ハカウイには世界で3番目に大きい滝があります。自慢の郷土料理は砂に埋まった石を熱して焼く豚のローストです。この目的地は未開発なエリアであるため、ツアーは企画されておりませんので、ご了承ください。
