    DAY 1: January 9, 2027

Upon disembarkation in Mombasa Port, you will be met by an English-speaking representative who will accompany you to Moi International Airport for a flight to Kilimanjaro, where you will clear Customs and Immigration. Then, continue with another flight to Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti. Note: the flights are not accompanied.

Upon arrival you will be met by your driver guide and proceed with game drive through the renowned Serengeti National Park en route to the Four Seasons Lodge.

The Serengeti is arguably the most famous national park in the world; it perhaps defines the safari experience as surely as the wildlife that inhabits it. Established in 1951 and covering an area of almost 15,000 square kilometers (5850 square miles), an area comparable to the state of Connecticut or Northern Ireland, the Serengeti hosts a fantastically diverse eco-system. The famous short and long grass plains of the south slowly unfurl into the Acacia Savannah of the central area, the hilly, more densely wooded areas of the north, and the extensive woodland in the western corridor, each with its own resident variations of African wildlife. The Serengeti promises all that the first-time game-viewer or experienced safari-hand could ever hope to witness and it rarely, if ever, disappoints.

Accommodation at the Four-Season Lodge perfectly combines the intimacy of a lodge and the indulgence expected of a luxury hotel. Nestled within the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, in the vicinity of the great annual migration, the Four-Season Lodge is a dream African hideaway offering spectacular views of wildlife roaming over miles of bush, an active water hole and the magical sunsets of the African savannah.

In your spacious room, step out onto your private terrace and breathe in the warm East African air whilst overlooking the endless plains of the Serengeti. Sip Champagne in your bath and take pleasure in the continuous enjoyment of the view of the African wilderness.

After you have enjoyed lunch and short rest, you will depart for a late afternoon game in the park and then later transferred back to your lodge for dinner.

    DAY 2: January 10, 2027

Following breakfast at the hotel meet your guide and set out on a morning safari exploring the plains of Serengeti National Park with an experienced guide.

After lunch at the lodge, head out on an afternoon safari.

The Serengeti lies between the Ngorongoro Highlands, Lake Victoria and Tanzania's northern border with Kenya, and is known as one of the world's last great wildlife reserves. The name comes from the Maasai siringet, meaning 'endless plains'. The park is home to about three million large animals, most taking part in seasonal migrations unparalleled in nature.

Following what is sure to be an incredible day on safari, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    DAY 3: January 11, 2027

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer back to the Seronera Airstrip for a light aircraft charter flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred back to ship. Note: flights are not accompanied.

Light aircraft flights allow only 15kg/30 pounds per person and in a soft sided bag.

Cotton tops, cotton trousers and shorts. Trousers and warm fleece tops for evenings and cooler days. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, camera, film and batteries.

Khakis are not necessary but natural colors are advisable as dark clothing attracts insects.

The roads in Tanzania are of notoriously bad quality, especially if the rainy season was a harsh one, so be prepared for bumpy and dusty drives. This program is not recommended for guests with back issues.

    Local Currency:

In Tanzania, the unit of currency is the Tanzania Shilling; however, USD are widely accepted.

    Electricity

Tanzania electricity is based on English standards, meaning it is (usually) supplied at 230Volts, 50Hz. This means that all European electrical equipment should work, from laptop power supplies to mobile phone chargers. Wall sockets use an English 3 pin fused plug, which requires the use of travel adapters for those from other countries.

We recommend you bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.

Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)

1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.

2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.

3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.

*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.

    * Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.

*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.
